Serving God When It’s Hard

Job 1:8 KJV
And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

Many new Christians are under the false assumption that after accepting Christ their life will be smooth sailing.

The Book of Job directly refutes this idea. Satan attacks Job BECAUSE he served the Lord with all he had. In fact, the only reason Satan attacked him at all is because God was proud of Job’s faith.

God recommends Job to Satan, implying that even Satan can’t break his faith.

Are we that solid? Could God recommend us for persecution and trials, knowing we would hold fast to his unchanging hand?

It’s a hard question to answer, no one wants to endure hardships in this life, but we know they’ll come. The word tells us that it rains on the just and the unjust (Matt. 5:45).

We will have sunny seasons and rainy seasons, but no matter the weather - we have to keep the faith.

Have you made up your mind to cross the finish line?
