Traits of a Christian

2 Peter 3:11-12 KJV
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

How do others know we’re Christians? We don’t wear hijabs or yarmulkes like Muslims and Jews. We don’t have dietary laws like they do either. It’s not a rule book that makes you a Christian, but your relationship with Jesus.

You should be so close to Jesus that foreigners to the Christian life see Him in you, but how do you draw close to Jesus?

1. Prayer
2. Praise
3. Reading the Word of God
4. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit

When we partake of those traits or behaviors, we will become closer to Jesus, and just as the heat is stronger the closer you are to the fire, the Light of the World glows stronger when you’re closer to Him. Draw near!
