Esther 4:14 KJV
For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
Esther after becoming the queen of Persia was in a unique position to save her people from slaughter, but if she came into the King’s presence uninvited and he did not reach out his scepter unto her, she would be killed.
When we read the story, we know the ending, so we forget the turmoil Esther must have endured. Possibly saving her people meant possibly ending her own life.
Some things in life are beautiful and wonderful: marriage, babies, graduations, new careers, new homes. Other things are tragic: the death of a loved one, a cancer diagnosis, the end of a friendship.
No matter what situation we are currently facing - the good, the bad, or the ugly - God is with us. He has placed us exactly where we are for such a time as this!
When we lean on His unchanging hand, and trust His plan and path for our lives, he performs miracle after miracle.
He used Esther to save the Jewish people from slaughter, and He can use you for a great feat too - if you only trust him.
