Pursuing The Promise

We must not be lazy in our walk with God. We must “walk circumspectly” (Eph5:15) that is to walk cautiously and not risk faltering as we walk with Christ. We are at risk when we get lazy and haphazard in pursuing the promise of God. Do not allow distractions to pull your attention away from the task at hand, which is to walk in the light of Christ. It takes a conscious effort to follow Him. The Spirit leads us but we must decide if we will follow or if we will falter. Victory comes when our will is surrendered and and faith prevails.

Surrender...  This is tough. God wants us to surrender our will to him. He takes us through events that are designed to help us learn to surrender. Total freedom comes only after we release our will to Him. If you are wondering why you are going through something right now there is a good chance there is something you need to surrender. Trust the Lord  and and release your will to him. It is spiritually exhilarating and fulfilling.

Surrender changes our focus from trying to please ourselves to Pleasing God and putting His plan first. Surrender changes our direction from walking our own road to being directed by God. Surrender changes our relationship with God from being a like needy child to being a participant in His plan.  Surrender is learning to fully trust God and giving your life for his glory.
