Seek, And Ye Shall Find

"Seek, and ye shall find" - Matthew 7:7

This familiar verse speaks to the heart of our relationship with Jesus Christ. Many of us, even after conversion, remain on the surface, primarily seeking God for what He can do for us. We pray for blessings - a new job, healing, financial security. And wonderfully, He answers these prayers!

But the deepest desire of Christ is intimacy – a profound, personal connection where we truly know Him and He knows us. This requires time. Time spent alone with Him, talking, listening, simply being present. Just as in any meaningful relationship, there's a give-and-take, an exchange of love and understanding.

We need to shift our focus. Instead of primarily seeking God for His blessings, let's seek Him for who He is – the loving Father, the faithful friend, the source of all joy and peace. When we truly desire God for Himself, the blessings will naturally flow, but they will become secondary to the profound joy of experiencing His presence.
