Forgiveness - Fall Revival

Matthew 6:12 KJV
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

When we allow someone’s wrong against us to fester in our soul, we become a very negative individual. Unforgiveness transforms us into a broken, bitter, angry, and depressed person.

Only when we allow God to move through us and forgive those who have wronged us can peace be restored to our soul. In fact, when we harbor unforgiveness against others, God says he won’t forgive us.

Matthew 6:14-15 KJV
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

If we are the offending party, we are to stop in our tracks and make things right with the person we wronged and then with the Lord.

Matthew 5:23-24 KJV
Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

God takes forgiveness very seriously - as should we. We’re not perfect, and we have all wronged and been wronged.

If you want God’s peace in your life, make peace with those who you’ve hurt or who’ve hurt you.

Matthew 5:9 KJV
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
