The Man in the Mirror

Romans 8:35-39 KJV
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

These verses so plainly tell us that once we are in God’s hands, nothing can take us out of them. Satan, his minions, other people, and death itself cannot take us from the Lord - but we can. We can take ourselves right out of God’s hands by choosing to leave.

God is a gentleman. He will NOT hold you against your will. If you willing come to him, he accepts you with open arms. If you choose to leave, he lets you go. The choice is yours.

Thankfully, when we make this terrible mistake to turn our back on God’s love, he’s willing to take us back.

The prodigal son’s father welcomed him with open arms and rejoiced when he returned (Luke 15?)! The son chose to leave the Father’s house, and when he fell into the depths of sin, he finally chose to return home. It’s all about choices.

What will you choose: death or life?
